Building long-term client relationships wins the vote

Trigold’s first Academy survey reveals results

Results from the Trigold Business Academy’s first survey, in which advisors voted for what they would like to see addressed at the first ever training seminar, has revealed that over 40% of the voters would like more training on how to build long-term client relationships.

The top three results were as follows:

  1. Developing long-term client relationships (41.7%)
  2. Complaints Handling (33.3%)
  3. Presentation Skills Training (25%)

The results reveal that advisors understand the need to develop relationships with their clients to be able to build a successful business over the long term. Advisors should spent time understanding their clients requirements over the short and longer term, enabling them to help build repeat business both now and for the future. The Business Academy will help train them in techniques to do this.

Trigold Business Academy director, Theresa Clements, said: “The Trigold Business Academy programme has been designed to help all advisors sell a variety of products confidently and efficiently, as well as learn a range of skills to develop their businesses and secure their future.

“The first Academy vote has helped shape the design of the Business Academy programme and we will have further votes in the future to enable us to evaluate current market opinions so that we can then integrate the most popular topics into our programme.

Topics covered at the training seminars will include time management, marketing, interviewing and communicating effectively with clients.

The Academy will be free to attendees and hosted across the country at a range of venues with numbers restricted to ensure that training is both enjoyable and effective.
