Brokers will find it easier to introduce general insurance (GI) products thanks to a new arrangement between insurance provider Paymentshield and Trigold.

A suite of Paymentshield GI products has now been added to Trigold’s Prospector AAA platform. This will enhance Prospector by linking to Paymentshield’s award-winning Inertia software and will be deployed to all users over the coming months.

The system’s quick quote facility means advisers can immediately provide clients with an instant indicative quote for Buildings & Contents and Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance when sourcing a mortgage or remortgage deal.

This way they can ensure their clients’ mortgage and home is fully protected while boosting their own income stream.

“This is good news for advisers as it means that they can discuss general insurance cover at the point of sale, which greatly aids the customers understanding of the products and the cover they will receive.” said Paymentshield CEO Stuart Pender.
