Trigold has appointed Theresa Clements in the new role of Training Director with overall responsibility for the forthcoming launch of the Trigold Business Academy.
Scheduled to be launched in late summer 2008, The Academy programme has been designed to help all mortgage advisors to confidently and efficiently sell market leading mortgage related products in line with the FSA principle based regulations using a seamless technology platform.
The training will be delivered by experienced business practitioners and speakers with hands on experience. The Academy will be both web based and hosted across the country in a range of venues with numbers restricted to ensure that training is enjoyable and effective.
Theresa has over 20 years of experience in the intermediary marketplace holding senior positions in Canada Life, Millfield and most recently Park Row.
Martin Colyer, managing director of Trigold said: “We are fortunate to have someone of Theresa’s calibre and experience to head up this exciting new proposition. She has a deep understanding of the issues and opportunities that lie at the heart of advisers’ businesses which will be crucial in the set-up and development of the new Business Academy. As a member of the executive board Theresa will bring into focus the sales perspective of the current mortgage market for advisers.
“One of the characteristics of successful business people the world over is the recognition of the importance of continuing professional development. Whether an adviser has been working for two or twenty years, there will be valuable information provided by the Business Academy. In today’s market conditions it is essential that mortgage advisors have the selling skills to meet the needs of their customers for example in the area of protection sales. This will both result in better outcomes for consumers and valuable additional revenue streams for advisors. The feedback from our customers is that they would value additional training to further refine their skills and knowledge of mortgage related products.
“We are convinced that demonstrable commitment to professional education and development is the key to the creation of the industry’s best qualified advisers. The academy will match the exacting demands of the principles of TCF.”
Speaking about her appointment Theresa Clements said; “The launch of the Business Academy builds on Trigold’s position as the leading software provider for advisors and demonstrates their commitment to the sector. The benefits that arise from good financial advice supported by appropriate underlying products and services are highly significant.
“The Business Academy will welcome all advisors and support staff whether existing Trigold subscribers or not and we expect there to be a high level of interest. The programme on the day will cover all the steps of the business planning process with particular emphasis on how using technology can streamline the advisory process. The core of the Academy’s structure will be to build on the advisors existing skills and assist in developing a more streamlined business model to penetrate new markets. I look forward to ensuring that more advisers gain the opportunity to benefit from the quality, breadth and depth of a top-class training opportunity.” continued Theresa.
Trigold is also working closely with a variety of trade bodies with the aim of ensuring that their members are provided with a seminar program that is committed to ongoing professional development.
Further details surrounding the launch will be unveiled soon.
